Oil Heating Skid Prototype
Since late last year, Practical Engineering has been working on an Oil Heating Skid prototype for a large energy provider. The Oil Heating Skid has been worked through concept stage and is now in the final stages of manufacture. The heating skid allows rapid heating of process equipment via flexible hose connections.
The developed concept consists of a self-bunded skid with a vertical oil reservoir holding heating oil. Incorporating a circulation pump, heating vessel (15KW heater) and associated pipework and instruments, the skid is self-contained allowing rapid deployment and easy transport.
With the completion due by the end of the month, this prototype will solve our client’s downtime maintenance issues so they can continue powering on.
